Rohit, a student of DAV School, was on his way to school in a bus on route 405 when the driver suddenly applied the brakes near Sarita Vihar. Rohit fell on to the road and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.

While the driver managed to escape, the bus has been impounded.

“It appears that the boy was standing on the footboard and lost his balance due to the sudden jerk. We have admitted him to hospital where he is said to be in a subconscious state. A hunt is on for the driver,” a police official said.

Blueline buses have claimed over 65 lives this year alone.
