Thiruvananthapuram : Former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy has been selected as one of the nine speakers from India to attend the ‘World Forum on the Future of Democracy’ to be held in Virginia in the US.
The event is scheduled to take place Sep 16-18 at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s Lodge and at the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
Speaking to IANS, Chandy said he was elated at being invited.
“I am in the company of leading intellectuals and social activists who have been selected to attend from India,” he said.
