Gaza : The United Nations Refugees and Works Agency (UNRWA) said that the industrial sector in Gaza Strip has suffered losses of $23 million since June 2006.
At a press conference held in Gaza, Deputy Commissioner General of UNRWA Filippo Grandi Thursday asked policy makers in Ramallah, Israel and Gaza Strip to take into their consideration the continuously deteriorating situation in Gaza, reported WAM news agency.
He also warned of an imminent crash of the Palestinian economy within weeks, forcing Gaza Strip to be totally dependent on humanitarian aid.
Grandi said that the industrial and agricultural sectors are heading towards a disaster and asked for facilitating imports and exports without delay.
