Changsha (China) : At least 20 people died and 39 were missing after a bridge in central China’s Hunan province collapsed, police said Tuesday.
The bridge, under construction in Fenghuang, collapsed late Monday, blocking the Fenghuang-Daxing highway, the police said.
A total of 123 workers were at the site when the bridge caved in. Of them 64 were rescued and 22 injured have been moved to hospitals.
Fenghuang, located in western part of Hunan, is a famous tourist destination.
