New York : Former world number one Lindsay Davenport’s comeback was postponed when her opening doubles match at the Pilot Pen tennis tournament in New Haven, Connecticut, was hit by rain.
The three-time Grand Slam event winner gave birth to her first child in June and has not played on the circuit since September 2006.
The 31-year-old American and her doubles partner Lisa Raymond were re-scheduled to play Cara Black and Liezel Huber Wednesday.
Showers wiped out Tuesday’s entire day session. Only two singles matches each in the men’s and women’s draw could be completed.
