A decision to this affect was taken at a meeting of the party MLAs under the chairmanship of Balwant Singh Mankotia, president and attended by Faqir Nath and Yashpal Kundal at Assembly lawns here today.

In a statement issued here, Mankotia said that Speaker Tara Chand has made a mockery of the democracy and is playing in the hands of Congress by not revoking the suspension of party MLA. He said that they have repeatedly asked the Speaker to specify under what rules
Harsh dev Singh has been suspended from the ongoing session of the Assembly.

Mankotia said that government is afraid to face the opposition as there are many skeletons in their cupboard. He said that Congress which has acted anti-Jammu is afraid to face the Panthers on the issue of corruption, favouritism and nepotism.

The government would have been exposed by the party over the issue of corruption, antipathy to the human issues of West Pakistan refugees, PoK refugees and Jammu migrants and that is why they have chosen to suspend the party MLA and create a situation where the most of the time is wasted in protests, he alleged.

Mankotia said that RDD minister is being repeatedly reprimanded by the Union Minister of Rural Development for his non-performance but the chief minister is trying to shield him and projecting him as the close lieutenant by taking him along on visits.

He said that minister is facing the allegations of harassing an employee leading to his death whereas the chief minister is repeating the hollow slogan of work culture.

Mankotia announced that in a bid to express its displeasure over the murder of democracy and snatching the right of a public representative to represent the grievances of the common masses, JKNPP MLAs have decided to boycott the ongoing proceedings of the House from tomorrow till Speaker revokes the suspension of party MLA Harsh Dev Singh.
