This programme was led by Mahjabeen Sarwar, a devoted social worker and Secretary of Safeenah and State President of All India United Muslim Morcha and All India Jameatul Quraish.

An agitation was started against starvation which gives birth to all corruptions like communalism, human violation, slavery etc., with this programme. Children of all wards of the town took part in this programme and they were determined to fight starvation which they consider it as mother of all social evils. Children marched in rallies with placards in their hands raising slogan against starvation. They performed dramas at some places also.

Mrs Mahjabeen Sawar told on this occasion this programme is not only for 15 days, it will last until the problem of hunger will be vanished from the society completely. “We will fight this problem like we fought against the British”, said Mahjabeen Sarwar.

Mahjabeen Sarwar was awarded Stri Shakti Award last year for her work in the area of women empowerment.
