Delhi Jets beat Hyderabad Heroes in ICL tie

Panchkula (Haryana) : The Delhi Jets registered a thrilling five-wicket victory over the Hyderabad Heroes in the Indian Cricket League (ICL) Twenty20 Championship at the Tau Devi Lal cricket stadium here Sunday.

Opting to bat first, the Hyderabad team made 141 for the loss of five wickets and in reply the Delhi squad achieved the target in 17.4 overs after losing five wickets.

Hyderabad started on a poor note but Nicky Boje (45) and captain Inzamam-ul-Haq (34) solidified the inning.

Delhi were off to a flying start with Taufiq Umar smashing a brilliant unbeaten 52 in 41 balls and Monish Misra scoring 23.

Taufeeq also became the first player to make a half-century in the ICL.
