Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza said in a statement after three Palestinians, two of them were Hamas militants were killed in an Israeli airstrike, said “Abbas should condemn such criminal actions.”

Since Annapolis peace conference held last week in the United States, Israel had killed 24 Palestinians. Most of them are Hamas militants and all were killed in Israeli ground and air strikes all over the Gaza Strip.

“Abbas should get out of his silence towards what the Gaza Strip is facing. He should explain to which side he stands, to the side of Israel or to the side of his people that are slaughtered everyday,” said Abu Zuhri.

Israel had also tightened its security measures against the enclave and considered it a “hostile entity” after Hamas took control of the strip in mid June, and after Islamic militants continued their rockets attacks on Israel.

President Abbas called on Hamas movement to end its control of Gaza and then get back for dialogue. Abbas request is still rejected by Hamas leaders, who say dialogue must start without any preconditions.

“Abbas should soon answer the question whether he is with Israel or with his people, because the recent killings are considered as an outcome of Annapolis conference,” said Abu Zuhri.
