Addis Ababa : President Paul Kagame of Rwanda has arrived here to take part in the Great Lakes Summit.
Minister of State for Federal Affairs Maeregu Habtemariam, the Rwandan Ambassador to Ethiopia and senior diplomats welcomed President Kagame upon arrival at Addis Ababa’s Bole International Airport here Wednesday.
Apart from attending the summit, President Kagame is expected to hold discusssions here with United States Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice, who also arrived on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the Presidents of Uganda and Burundi, Yoweri Museveni and Pierre Nkurunziza respectively, and the newly appointed Prime Minster of Somalia, Nur Hassan Hussein, arrived here to take part in the summit.
