New York : Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed has launched a website for Indian IT entrepreneurs and professionals here that aims to develop Kerala as one of the leading IT hubs in the country.
The Kerala Information Technology Alliance (KITA), formed by a group of entrepreneurs and professionals here, has launched its website www.kita.in at a function held at Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.
Besides the minister, deputy consul general of New York M.A. Gondane, information technology professionals and entrepreneurs from the US attended the event last week.
Ahamed praised KITA members for their commitment to develop the IT sector in India. He also asked them to collaborate with other businesses in the country for mutual benefit.
Gondane said KITA should look for the opportunities at the micro level to tap India’s fast growing economy.
George Abraham, KITA chairman, said, “Our initiative is to bring together IT professionals of Kerala origin in the US and to leverage their knowledge and skill set to help Kerala move forward in IT development.”
