Baghdad : At least 26 people have been killed and dozens injured in two attacks in the restive province of Diyala on Dec 7 2007.
In the first attack, sixteen people died in a suicide bombing in Muqdadiyah, 90 kilometres north of Baghdad.
The second attack came when a woman with explosives strapped to her body blew herself up in the middle of a crowd. The Iraqi police say the attacks were aimed at a group of Sunni rebels who have joined forces with the authorities to combat al-Qaeda.
In the village of Dali Abbas ten Iraqi soldiers and members of a neighbourhood patrol were killed in a car bomb attack.
