Bangalore : Sachin Tendulkar has injured his knee and Gautam Gambhir has been asked to stand-by for the third and final Test against Pakistan starting here Saturday. India lead the series 1-0.
A final decision on Tendulkar will be taken Saturday morning, captain Anil Kumble announced at a pre-match press conference at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where the match will be played, provided weather clears up.
Kumble said that even Yuvraj Singh, who has been in tremendous form in one-day cricket, could also be considered for selection in the XI if wicket-keeper and vice captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also pulls out with a hand injury.
