Bangkok : Thailand will assist its landlocked neighbouring country, Laos, to prepare an electronic education curriculum for higher secondary students aimed at upgrading the educational system in that country, a senior Thai education ministry official said Saturday.
Kasama Varawarn Na Ayutthaya, secretary-general of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, said the training program would last about one month.
The program consists five major content areas including providing general knowledge about the electronic education curriculum, laying out lessons, knowledge on preparing script and story board programs, authoring tools, and tools for evaluating the efficiency of the educational system, Mrs. Kasama said.
Thailand’s electronic education curriculum assistance programme for Laos will mainly cover arithmetic and maths, science and English lessons for higher secondary students, Mrs. Kasama said.
It is hoped that the programme would also improve teaching personnel in that country, she said.
