London : Middle East Envoy Tony Blair expressed Saturday his willingness to visit Gaza Strip so as to see things there closely.
Blair was quoted as saying before a number of journalist that he wants to visit Gaza as a Middle East Envoy so as to see things there closely.
“I will talk to people and to the representatives of the civil communities”, added Blair.
Concerning his optimistic stance toward Annapolis results he said “ such a conference revived hope about returning into the peace process. After the summit there happened to be a powerful political process with a timetable which constitutes a huge step forward”.
He as well tackled the Paris economic conference, held on Dec. 17, saying “It would help the Palestinians plan their future”.
Asked about the Palestinian demand of US $ 5.5 millions from the said conference, he replied: “the Palestinians need such an amount so as to develop their institutions so as to change facts on land through improving their economic situations and uplifting the siege”.
