Moscow : Russia has condemned the Israeli incursion of southern areas in the Gaza Strip which killed many Palestinian civilians.
Russian condemns all forms of terrorism and rejects the excessive use of force which threatens the political dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
Russia had called for holding an international conference in Moscow to back the peaceful settlement in the Middle East, but Israeli President Shimon Peres rejected the call.
Peres, in remarks to a Russian newspaper Monday, called on Moscow to provide financial assistance to the Palestinians instead of calling for an international conference on the Middle East.
