Jeddah : Jordan and Saudi Arabia have signed here a marine border agreement.
The agreement was signed between Jordanian Interior Minister Eid Al Fayez and Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz.
During the signing ceremony Sunday, Al Fayez hailed the Jordanian-Saudi ties in all domains, noting to the continued coordination and cooperation between the two countries’ leadership.
Al Fayez also noted that signing the agreement highlights the strong ties between the two countries and embodies the desire to realise the joint interests according to the border agreement which was signed on Aug 9, 1965.
He also expressed hope for the new agreement to further enhance joint cooperation in the various domains.
For his part, the Saudi minister welcomed the signing of the agreement, hailing efforts exerted by Jordan’s King Abdullah to achieve peace and stability in the region.
