Speaker Aalamgir Aalam made the announcement in the house.

The construction of a road between Hatghmaria and Baraiburu situated in Chaibasa district rocked the house second time Monday. This is the same road for which Madhu Koda toppled Arjun Munda government in September 2006. The road falls under the constituency of Koda.

Replying to queries of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislators during the question hour, Koda said, “there is no corruption in the road construction. The cost of the particular road was increased at the suggestion of a consultant.” They were however not satisfied with the answer.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators came to the well of the house twice demanding a committee to look into the mater.

The initial cost of the road was Rs.100 million, which has gone up to Rs.1.64 billion in just two years.

The NDA legislators had raised the corruption charges and demanded either a CBI inquiry or a committee to look into the matter.

They also raised objection over giving Rs.3.30 million as advance
