Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) based telecom service provider Etisalat has been awarded the ‘Best Overall Operator in 2007’ by the Arabian Business magazine, WAM news agency reported Tuesday.
The award was handed to Mohammad Hassan Omran, chairman of Etisalat, by Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, the minister of government sector development, in a ceremony held at the Emirates Palace here.
Al Mansouri, who is also the chairman of UAE Supreme Committee for the supervision of the telecommunications sector, praised Etisalat’s contribution to the development of UAE.
“This recognition highlights the achievements of Etisalat and its contribution to the development of the UAE over the last 30 years,” he said.
