LONDON, Dec 23 (KUNA) — British police charged a man on Sunday with preparing for a terrorist act.
The man, 38 years, from the Small Heath Area of Birmingham, was charged with one offence under the Terrorism Act 2006, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Police told reporters here.
“The charge relates to alleged preparation for committing an act of terrorism,” according to the spokeswoman.”Though the terrorist threat is real, there is no cause for concern over this matter which has been appropriately managed. It is under a serious criminal investigation.
“The British police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the matter,” the spokeswoman added.The man is due to appear before Westminster magistrates in central London on Monday.
