New Delhi : Rahul Ganapthy jumped six places to third on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Order of Merit after his victory in the Global Green Bangalore Open, Sunday.
The Mysore-born golfer, who has moved Gurgaon to train with his coach, Romit Bose, won Rs.485,950 at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course, has total earnings of Rs.708,250.
Singapore’s Lam Chih Bing, who won the BILT Open, is still the No.1 with total earnings of Rs.1.29 million and Digvijay Singh with Rs.942,550 is second.
Shamim Khan of Delhi is fourth and young Himmat Singh Rai fifth, Veteran Mukesh Kumar, winner at Digboi, sixth and Asian Tour regular Rahil Gangjee seventh. Arjun Singh, who double bogeyed the last hole and lost the title to Ganapathy at Bangalore is eighth and Feroze Ali Mollah ninth. Gaganjeet Bhullar, also in contention in Bangalore, completed the top-10.
Ganpathy missed the cut in the season opener, BILT Open and was second at the IOC XtraPremium Masters 2007 in Digboi before winning in Bangalore.
