Media group to award print journalists

New Delhi : Leading media house Rajasthan Patrika Group (RPG) has announced the annual Karpoor Chandra Kulish (KCK) Award for excellence in print journalism. The KCK 2007 award will be given on the theme of “human development”, the group said Friday.

RPG will give an award of $11,000 to the 2007 winner. The award will be given for reports by a team of journalists.

RPG will also give a medal and a certificate to each team member. The trophy and prize money shall be awarded to the institution or team leader, if an independent team wins the award.

In addition to this, 10 entries shall receive special mention and will be given certificates and medals.

The KCK Award has been instituted in the memory of Karpoor Chandra Kulish, the founder editor of the group. The award will be given at a ceremony here in the first half of 2008.

Jan 31, 2008 is the last date for sending entries.
