Riyadh : The 2006 exports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounted to SR. 791.339 billion compared to SR 677.114 billion in 2005.
The increase of SR 114.195 billion is a significant hike of 17 percent compared with the 2005 exports, a statistical report said.
The fluctuation and the instability of Petroleum prices during the year 2006 had a direct and great impact on the value of exports, an export statistics newsletter released by The General statistics and Information Department reported.
The volume of export weightage reached 429,282 tons in comparison to 469, 306 tons in year 2005 with a decline of 40,024 tons, showing a fall of 9 percent, the report added.
