Mumbai : Indian markets opened flat Friday in the wake of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, with a key financial market index opening with a loss of 59 points.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 20,158.12 points against the previous close of 20,216.72.
The broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened flat at 6,079.55 points against the previous close of 6,081.50 points.
