“These judges will be appointed right till the block level. Those seeking justice will not come to the courts but the judges will go to them,” Bhardwaj told reporters Friday on the sidelines of 10th meeting of Parliament’s Consultative Committee on Hindi.

Bhardwaj said the follow-up on the rural courts legislation will be completed before mid-2008.

Mobile courts will be set up to speedily try cases in the rural areas. To support the new system, 7,000 judges would be recruited.

These courts will be close to the people, not just physically but also in terms of the language they use, he said.
