Islamabad : Bilawal, the 19-year-old son of slain former premier Benazir Bhutto, was Sunday appointed the new chief of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) following his mother’s assassination.
Bilawal, an Oxford student, will chair the party with his father Asif Ali Zardari as co-chairman, according to party officials. The announcement was made after the late Bhutto’s will was read out at Ghari Khuda Bux in her hometown Larkana in Sindh province.
Benazir Bhutto was killed Thursday in an attack minutes after she addressed an election rally in Rawalpindi.
