Teenager mowed down by speeding bus

New Delhi : A 13-year-old boy was killed and six people were injured, some of them critically, when a speeding bus rammed into them at a traffic signal in west Delhi Sunday.

Morrick Sharma, a fifth standard student of S.M.Jain Montessori School at Kamala Nagar in North Delhi was crushed by the blueline bus, which hit the scooter he was riding with his father.

While Morrick's father escaped with minor injuries, the bus hit a few more vehicles and injured their occupants, police said.

The injured were rushed to the nearby Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital and the ESI hospital.

The driver escaped after the accident. Police have registered a case of causing death by negligent and rash driving.
