Riyadh : Saudi Arabian minister of transport said on Tuesday that Iran and Saudi Arabia play a vital role in the Islamic world.
In a meeting with Iranian ambassador to Riyadh on Tuesday, Jubarah Suraysri stressed that the region and Islamic world undoubtedly benefit from the close ties between the two countries.
He clarified that by promoting mutual cooperation, the two countries could be a successful model for regional states.
Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini pointed to the two countries' religious and cultural commonalities which can create grounds for excellent relations.
Iran's envoy added that transportation could be one of important sectors for expansion of bilateral cooperation on the economic and cultural fields.
He noted that being located in a strategic zone, Iran is ready to share its experience with other countries of the region.
