London : If Wimbledon is forced by the weather to head into a third week, it would be fine by Andy Roddick.
Said the two-time finalist who has seen his title bids shot down by four-time champion Roger Federer: "I don't have much of a life outside of what you're seeing here, I wouldn't even mind it.
"I got nothing to do at home. Hell, let's just play Wimbledon for like 12 weeks a year."
Officials of the All England club were taking a slightly less flippant view, admitting that if play would be required next Monday, it would not be a huge crisis.
"It's a possibility," club boss Ian Ritchie told BBC Radio. "If it happens, so be it.
But he added: "If the weather holds up, we can meet the schedule in the singles. We're ready for it (Monday play). We're prepared for it.
"If we have to play a tennis match Monday, it's not the end of the world."
During the first nine days of the event, eight have been interrupted by the weather. Forecasts are calling for limited problems until Sunday, when another band of weather could be due.

Actress Serena denies any dramatics
A seething Serena Williams has pulled the plug on a return to doubles with sister Venus after losing in singles at Wimbledon.
The younger Williams was comprehensively beaten in the quarter-finals by Justin Henin, with the American defending herself from charges of gamesmanship in her previous match.
The two-time Wimbledon singles champion said she did not over-act when she went down with a calf cramp against Daniela Hantuchova and was then saved by a rain break only to come back and win.
"I've never experienced that much pain," said Williams, a would-be actress with credits in a few American sit-com shows.
Williams had drawn fire from former Wimbledon champion Michael Stich for on-court theatrics.
"My career is actually more stellar than Michael Stich's," she snapped. "So he can say whatever he pleases. I've never been overdramatic in my whole career."
The Williams pullout wasted a wildcard doubles entry handed to them by officials, presumably on the basis of their 2000 and 2002 titles in the team competition. They last played together four years ago.
