Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said Friday that the university – the first exclusively for women in north India – will also be the first sub-centre for the famous British university in the country.

The university has been set up at Khanpur Kalan, about 70 km from Delhi.

The tie-up between both the universities has been done through the British Council.

Hooda said that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) would be signed with the Cambridge University Aug 2 to enable girl students to acquire international certification in spoken English such as Business English Certificates (BEC) and Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT).
