Thiruvananthapuram : The Kerala assembly was adjourned Monday after condoling the death of former prime minister Chandra Shekhar.
Leading the speakers in paying tribute to Chandra Shekhar, who passed away in New Delhi Sunday after a prolonged battle with cancer, was Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan. He was followed by leader of opposition Oommen Chandy.
Other leaders from the ruling and opposition benches also spoke before the house was adjourned for the day.
