Class 6, 9, 11 results to be made online

New Delhi : Buoyed by the response to the CBSE online results declaration, the Delhi government Wednesday said that from now on examination results of Classes 6, 9 and 11 would be declared in a similar fashion.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit announced that the results of these three classes would be available online.

Dikshit was addressing the third annual conference of heads of schools. The meet stressed on the need for further improvement in the educational set up.

The chief minister expressed her happiness over improvement in results of Class 10 and 12 and complimented government schoolteachers for the improved performance.

"This is only because of their commitment and hard work that Delhi schools have earned a respectable place in the list of best schools in the country," she said.

"In Delhi, 277 schools have performed well and their pass percentage has been more than 90 percent, whereas another 41 schools scored pass percentage of 100 percent," Dikshit said.

She said that all libraries would be linked through Internet to help students and teachers get access to maximum resources.

The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has been asked to conduct a survey of schools and prepare an action plan for renovation of school buildings.
