Trecarichi, an elegant left-sided midfielder, has signed a four-year contract with Sevilla.

Next season he will play for Sevilla Atletico, the club’s nursery side, which has just been promoted to the second division.

Trecarichi – a product of the famed River Plate youth academy – was brought to Spain three years ago, when aged just 13, by Jose Pekerman when the latter was appointed as coach of Leganes, then in the second division.

Pekerman then left Leganes to take over the Argentine national team – but his prodigy Trecarichi stayed on.
