New Delhi : One person was arrested here for allegedly trying to sell 21 kg of opium worth Rs.21,000, police said Friday.
Bhim Kumar, 22, was arrested from Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in north Delhi Thursday. Police have seized the narcotics from him.
According to the police, the accused hails from Bihar and had come to the city to sell the banned substance.
“During interrogations, the accused revealed that he was working as a labourer in Bihar and his poverty forced him to enter into this illegal business,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Devesh Srivastva said.
