London : England were 268 for four wickets on the truncated opening day of the first Test against India at Lord's here Thursday.
Andrew Staruss made 96 and captain Michael Vaughan scored 79 after Vaughan won the toss and asked India to bowl. Anil Kumble took two wickets on a day when poor visibility interrupted play a few times.
