uleiman Khan, 60, does not venture out of his house at Nagra village in Saran district, about 100 km from here. "He only gets out of his house once a year to offer prayer on Eid," Khan's family members said.

After offering prayer in a mosque he returns to his house and shuts the door. Khan, father of seven children, does not like to meet outsiders during his self-confinement.

"He has refused to meet outsiders during the last two decades," his family members said. But he behaves normally inside the house with his wife and children.

Family sources said everything was fine till 1982 when he was running a lucrative business in leather and brick kiln. But he suffered huge losses after being cheated by his business partner. "After that he has confined himself inside the house," the sources said.

Khan has also refused to consult a doctor during his illness.

Villagers said they have to wait for Eid to get a glimpse of him.
