Srinagar : Four militants including one holed up at the encounter site in Arin Bandipora were gunned down, while a HM module was busted in Anantnag  district by security forces during last twelve hours in the Kashmir valley.
Two HM militant were killed in a clean operation with no collateral damage by a joint team of army and police in Ratnipora area of Pulwama this morning.
Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that on specific information about the presence of militants in Ratnipora area of Pulwama District police joined by troopers of 55-RR cordoned of the area conducted house to house searches.
Militants were hiding in the house of one Bilal Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Rasool, a militant who had been already eliminated, sources added.
As soon as troopers zeroed on the target the hiding militants opened fire leading to a fierce encounter, sources said adding two HM militants were gunned down by the troopers in the operation that continued for less than an hour.
The slain militants were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad alias Abu Burhan and Muhammad Shafi alias Burqan.
There was no damage to the house, although some glass panes did break.
In another operation, Army killed a militant at Khanmoh area, after laying a successful ambush.
According to Police 50-RR laid an ambush near Tramboo cement Factory in the Jungle area of Naryan Nad Khanmooh, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Panthachowk.
During the ambush some suspicious movement was observed which was followed by heavy firing. The troopers retaliated and one militant Gulzar Ahmad Mangoo, son of Gh. Nabi Mangoo, resident of Shar Shali Khrew was killed.
One pistol along with magazine and seven rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession. Slain militant belonged to HM outfit. Search is going on in the jungle.
The reports from Bandipora said that the holed up militant at Arin encounter site was gunned down today morning raising the toll of killed militants in the encounter to two.
During the encounter which lasted for about 24 hour one militant was eliminated yesterday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla the second holed up militant was eliminated this morning soon before after noon.
Two Jaish militants had taken shelter in the house of Mubrak shah in the Arin village of Bandipore. Amongst them, one was killed yesterday.
During the encounter two houses of Mubarak Shah and Saif Din suffered damages. HM militant headed module busted by Anantnag police.
Meanwhile police has said that it has busted a module of Hizb ul Mujahideen involved in  IED blasts and other militancy related activities.
Giving details, police sources told News Agency of Kashmir that  Police succeeded in arresting one Mubariq Ahmad Ganie alias Major Saqib a PAK trained militants and an IED expert of HM outfit. The militant was responsible for various Car blasts in District Anantnag.
After his arrest a Hizb module working under him was busted. The arrested OGWs are Ali Mohd Ganie, Reyaz Ahmad Ganie, Altaf Ahmad Ganie and Firdous Ahmad Dar.
Police has recovered one Pika gun, 200 Pika rounds, and ten UBGL grenades, five detonators, one IED, 20 litres of picric acid and 20 Kgs of RDX from the possession of the accused OWGs.
