New Delhi : Two brothers were arrested in the capital for allegedly possessing 52 kg of marijuana. Police also claimed to have recovered four stolen luxury cars from them.
Sunil Kumar, 34, and his younger brother Ajay Kumar were arrested from the Punjabi Bagh area Friday evening, while they were allegedly taking the marijuana to Uttar Pradesh.
According to police, Sunil was wanted in at least 28 criminal cases registered against him such as armed robbery, cheating, liquor smuggling, vehicle theft and extortion in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, while his brother was wanted in 10 such cases.
"The duo used to smuggle drugs and liquor across the border in these stolen luxury cars," Deputy Commissioner of Police A.S. Cheema said.
