Trouble started for C. Sreenath, a businessman based in Dubai, when his wife Maya and their two children – 16-year-old Vishnu and six-year-old Bharath – decided to move from Dubai to study at a school here.

Never did they think that their pet Bobby would pine for them all the time.

Sreenath bought Bobby in Dubai from an Arab businessman seven years ago.

"We reached here in May and last month my husband called up and said that Bobby appears to have gone into a shell and is gloomy. Bobby was like a member of our household and after the children left, she never used to come out from the children's room. My husband tried his best but she was unwilling to listen," Maya told IANS.

"Finally we decided that she should be brought here.

"Last week Sreenath called up to say that Bobby's passport was ready and the ticket was booked. My husband and Bobby will leave Dubai on Aug 25 by an Air India," said Maya.

The two boys are counting the days.
