Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh) : Polling is underway to elect a Lok Sabha member from Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur constituency that fell vacant when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP was thrown out of parliament.
The BJP has fielded former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal while the Congress candidate is Ram Lal Thakur.
BJP's Suresh Chandel lost his Lok Sabha seat after he and 10 others were caught in a scam in which MPs were charged with asking questions in parliament in return for money.
