New Delhi : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Saturday met at the residence of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to discuss the situation in Rajasthan in the wake of violent protests by Gujjars.
The leaders discussed the crisis arising from the Gujjar protests that have left 25 people dead in the state mainly in police firing and group clashes.
Those who attended the meeting included L.K. Advani, Jaswant Singh, who is from Rajasthan, and BJP president Rajnath Singh.
Rajnath Singh later told newsmen that Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje had told them that she was making all efforts to restore peace in the state.
