Washington : US authorities have foiled a plot to attack the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, and three people have been arrested, CNN reported Saturday.
Authorities were searching for a fourth suspect in connection with the plot, which was only at its planning stages. No explosives had been purchased for the plot.
All the four people were charged with plotting to attack the airport, and one of those arrested was from Guyana, CNN said.
One person was arrested in New York Friday night, and two others were arrested in Trinidad.
The plot, which was hatched last summer, was to target fuel lines, tanks and trucks at the airport, and did not involve airplanes or terminals, other news reports said.
