While framing charges against Koli, Special Judge Rama Jain dismissed a petition filed on behalf of Payal's parents, seeking Pandher's prosecution in the case related to her murder.

Additional District Judge Jain dismissed the petition even while directing the CBI to conduct additional probe into Pandher's role in the abduction, rape and killing of Pinki Sarkar on a similar petition filed by that victim's parents.

The judge dismissed the protest petition against the "clean chit" given by the CBI to Pandher on the ground that he was away in Chandigarh and not at his Noida residence when Payal was kidnapped, raped and murdered there.

Counsel for Payal's parents, Khalid Khan, said he would move the Allahabad High Court against the court order as it had ordered CBI to conduct additional probe into Pandher's role in the rape and murder of another girl.
