Firozabad: Residents of Muslim majority areas of Firozabad are battling with diseases due to lack of sanitary conditions. Dr. Shoaib Iqbal of Ideal Welfare Society stated that residents are facing acute shortage of drinking water, and unhygienic environment is prevalent in the community. He alleged that local municipal officers are not paying any heed to them.
Dr. Iqbal stated that Ghalib Nagar, Rasulpur, Jatavpuri, Syed Ganj, Hussain Mohalla, Sheetal Khan, Rahi Nagar, Hajipura all Muslim majority area is not being cleaned and unsanitary condition is making everyone sick. He alleged discrimination by the municipality officers for the reason behind the lack of service in these areas.
Advocate Abdul Nabi said that many times officers of the municipality have been made aware of these problems, but with no change in the condition.
