Ghaziabad : At least 12 people, including two women, were killed Friday when a bus crashed into a tree near this Uttar Pradesh town close to the Indian capital.
About 20 people were also injured when the driver of the Uttar Pradesh State Transport Corp (UPSTC) bus, plying between Meerut to Hapur, lost control of the speeding bus and collided into a tree in Hafizur area, 40 km from here.
The 12 people died immediately. The injured were admitted in two nearby hospitals, District Magistrate Ajay Shukla told IANS.
