New Delhi : Congress leader Digambar Kamat will be sworn in Friday as Goa's new chief minister.
Kamat began his political career as a member of the Congress but later joined the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). Two years ago, he returned to the Congress and was selected by the party for the post of chief minister late Thursday night.
The Congress along with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) emerged victorious in Goa in the elections that were held on June 2.
