New Delhi : Indian shooters, some of whom have earned laurels for the country in international competitions, can import arms and ammunitions duty free.
The decision comes after the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports accepted the recommendations of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and opened the import policy for the participants of the National Shooting Championship, the sports body said here Saturday.
Any shooter participating in nationals will now be allowed to import arms and ammunition duty free subject to achieving the minimum qualifying scores according to the NRAI rules.
