A home-made bomb exploded late Friday beneath a bus carrying factory workers in the city of Hub, located 500 km southeast of Quetta, killing three people and wounding five, the Express newspaper said.

In another incident, two people were wounded by a roadside explosion in Dera Bugti, 225 km from Quetta.

Meanwhile, security forces arrested 15 rebels in overnight raids in the province, officials told the newspaper.

Baloch separatists seeking autonomy and a greater share of the province's natural resources are waging a guerrilla campaign against government forces, official buildings, railway tracks and power lines in the province.

A series of bomb blasts were staged by the insurgents in the province last month in protest of the central government's 1998 testing of a nuclear device in Balochistan.

Three Chinese engineers and their Pakistani driver were killed in an attack in Hub last year.
