A defence spokesman here said the seven-member delegation, led by deputy chief of general staff, Major General Moshe Kaplinsky, would meet with top officials of 16 Corps at its headquarters in Nagrota.

The corps has operational responsibility of guarding frontiers with Pakistan, south of Pir Panjal in Jammu, and also conducts the anti-militancy operations in the area.

The spokesman said the discussions with the visiting army delegation would focus on anti-militancy operations in the region and also on how the Indian army is challenging the infiltrators from Pakistan across the Line of Control (LoC).

They will also review the functioning of Israeli anti-infiltration and night-vision devices deployed along the LoC, the spokesman said.

India has fenced with barbed wire the 720 km long LoC with Pakistan.

The delegation will leave for Delhi Friday. It will also visit Mumbai based headquarters of Western Naval Command.
