Taliban commander killed in Afghan air strike

Kabul : Taliban commander Mullah Mahmud Baluch has been killed during an air raid on a convoy of weapons and ammunition in the southern Afghanistan province of Helmand, coalition forces announced Thursday.

Baluch, considered a senior leader of the radical-Islamic Taliban in Helmand and Nimroz provinces, was killed in the June 9 air strike, confirmed the military.
